Easy to make, under 15 minutes ready to cool liqueur made with pistachio paste I previously posted is so much cheaper than store bought one! For 500 milliliters you pay 27 euros which is a lot. Once you use high quality pistachios for your paste you discover this one to be such a money saver!

It can be used to make cocktails or pour some on ice cream (adults only). To step deeper into decadent side, I pour some cooled whipping milk to small glass and then I pour this pistachio liqueur to fill the glass and I enjoy it with biscotti. This is the version I love the most!

This batch is a small one and recommend you start with this quantity. It is quickly spent which is great since it has no additives and its’s fridge life is 7 days only.

Ingredients

  • 150 grams pistachio paste ( ½ cup )
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • ¾ cup whipping cream (containing 30 % fat)
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • ½ cup Vodka

Instructions

  1. On low heat, in a small pot, combine pistachio cream, sugar, whipping cream, and milk, stirring constantly. Bring to boil.

  2. Boil for 3 minutes, take away from the heat and cool completely.

  3. Once, completely cooled,add vodka and pour into small bottle.

  4. Leave to rest overnight so all the ingredients combine perfectly.

Recipe Notes

  1. Since this drink contains no additives, it has short shelf life. However, it is a small batch of goodness and it is not a problem to consume it within a week.
  2. I love it served in small glasses. First I pour some whipping cream and pour this creamy pistachio liqueur slowly to fill the glass. That way, you get liquid pistachio paste liquid dessert with a hint of alcohol.
