Roasted Strawberries recipe makes your fruits intense in flavor and your desserts upgraded to the levels unknown!
Fresh strawberries have arrived and we fully enjoy their sweetness. The best way to enjoy them is to serve them fresh, halved, with melting chocolate or whipped cream or both.
Which brings me way back to our Fruit Salad with Rosemary and Cream Cheese .
Not bad to add some cream cheese and herbs like rosemary or basil…
What we offer this week is 1 hour work roasted strawberries to invite you for a twist that you may apply to any fruit of your preference.
How to use roasted strawberries?
What we love is to use them for filling Strawberry Ricotta Buns ( coming soon ). Also, they are great to use as ice cream or coffee cake topping or Strawberry Tiramisu .
It is so easy to be creative once the first fruits and vegetables arrive, right?
So, let me note some information that may help you during the process; namely, this strawberry recipe includes rose water, lemon juice, and honey. You may substitute rose water with aceto balsamico, basil or min. Even, freshly ground black pepper makes great surprise.
Cook until fruits release the liquid and flatten. It may need less time which depends on the quality of your strawberries.

Strawberry Polenta No Bake Cake

Ingredients
- 4 cups halved strawberries
- 2 Tbsp honey
- 1 tsp rose water
- 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
- Pinch of salt
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 190 C / 374 F.

Place strawberries to the bottom of your 9 x 10 inches pan, in one layer.

In small bowl, combine honey, rose water, lemon juice, and pinch of salt.

Drizzle strawberries with honey mixture and bake for 50 minutes.

Cool completely before serving.
Recipe Notes
1. Roasted strawberries may be used for any dessert you make using curds or jams.
2. If using smaller strawberry cook them whole. It is not necessary to halve them.
3. Keep your roasted strawberries in the fridge for 5 day.
