Hello everybody! Christmas time!

It’s Friday evening and the last chance for me to make another type of holiday cookies without rolling pin.

In case you wonder how that can be, let me tell you I have one store bought cookie dough, to make a batch of sugar cookies to add to cookie tray for the best time of the year!

How to make Christmas tree cutout cookies?

The preparation cannot be simpler: you just roll out the dough and start cutting the shapes you love the best. I always try to make the most of the dough since this type does not allow you knead the dough once again to use the leftovers. So, once you cut the cookies out, that’s it!

It is great to include kids in the process. I do cutting on my own and leave the food coloring part to my son. If this is the option. This time his part was stars arranging once I brushed the trees with egg yolk mixture.

If you look closer to the photo below, you’ll see an old-fashioned cookie cutter. It belonged to my grandmother, and she used it to cut ravioli. These days, it serves as cookie cutter and I made few lines on our tree cookies.

Since this is ready to cut cookie dough, you just roll it out and cut the ornaments. Place them on parchment paper leaving about ½ inch space between each one.
