Finally, I turned the oven on after tremendous heats. Since our weatherman says we will have another heat wave within few days, I hurried to make some homemade sweets to have instead of store-bought ones. There is no substitute for a batch of chocolate chip cookies recipe made from scratch!

Our cookie jar was empty for several weeks now and I believe my son will be happy to see it full again. Besides, this batch mixes up quickly.

Also, I expect to have a curious look as if asking: what did you use this time ? Is it for your blog? May I have some or should I wait until you see the photos are all right?

That much about food developing, shooting and enjoying eating!

These chip cookies are not leche stuffed. This dulche de leche cookies recipe has it incorporated in the dough. To support intense dulce color, I added brown sugar and rolled the cookies before baking to get them as crispy on the outside as possible. Yet, they are chewy inside and that is exactly how cookie recipe should taste like. Right ?

Semisweet chocolate chips make great balance with sweet dulce de leche. I really recommend you use them instead of milk chocolate chip version.

How to make this type of cookie dough?

Be sure to have all ingredients at room temperature. Start with dry ingredients on your clean flat working surface. No baking powder. Combine butter, egg, and dulce. Add mini or normal sized chocolate chips at the end of the process. Roll, bake, and enjoy with glass of milk.

What is the difference between caramel and dulce de leche?
