Garlic Butter Shrimp with Rice Vermicelli is delicious butter recipe, ready in 20 minutes! It is our favorite easy shrimp week dinner!
Any dinner ready to serve under 30 minutes is excellent. It needs little effort to make and we love it.
After you make it several times, you don’t even need to think about the quantities, and you find yourself doing it with other ingredients; you start to improvise with any kind of pasta (although it is not gluten free any more) or you may use different spices.
So, before you get into details let me write some details about the ingredients!
What is garlic butter made of?
It is softened butter combined with minced garlic, and parmesan cheese. You may add Italian seasoning, pepper and paprika. Mix until smooth and here you have your homemade batch of great butter than you can use in so many ways!
For this recipe, I separated butter from Parmesan to sprinkle on the top once served.
Can you purchase garlic butter?
Garlic butter is the key ingredient in garlic bread, but it can also be used to add flavor to seafood, steaks, vegetables, and pasta. Although you can purchase pre-made garlic butter, it is easy to make at home and better tasting.
What do you use garlic butter for?
Spread garlic butter on hot steak, or warm bread and enjoy. Or toss it with fresh pasta or use it for stir-frying vegetables. Just about any use of butter will be enhanced with the addition of this great savory flavour.
We make garlic butter at home, and I usually make it by heart. No measuring. However, once I started to look for proper recipe this one turned to be the best: Allrecipes .
Are rice noodles the same as rice vermicelli?
The main differences between Vermicelli Noodles and Rice Noodles: Vermicelli noodles are made from maida flour whereas rice noodles are prepared from rice flour. Vermicelli noodles are round in shape whereas rice noodles are flat.

How do you make rice vermicelli without sticking?
The cold water will remove surface starch and cool the noodles, keeping them from cooking any longer. Once the noodles are rinsed, toss them in a bowl with a small amount of oil, which will provide further insurance against sticking. Toss them every five or ten minutes until you’re ready to use them.
How to cook the perfect vermicelli rice?
Rice vermicelli only need to be soaked in hot water, instead of boiled, before they’re ready to use in stir-fries or other dishes. Bring a medium pot of water to a boil, remove the pot from the heat, and add the noodles. Let the noodles soak until they’re tender, about five minutes. My package instructions called for three minutes. Drain and pat dry.
And, as long as there is a bottle of good white wine at hand, you can create miracles under 30 minutes.
