Honey Beer Bread

Honey Beer Bread recipe is great to have at hand if you are out of yeast. Beer,honey, baking soda, and baking powder with few more ingredients make tasty slices of bread to enjoy with extra honey and melted butter! I mean, if you're OK with giving one beer away :-)

Ingredients

  • 6 ½ cup all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups + 2 Tbsp white beer ( 500 ml )
  • ¾  Tbsp honey
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 1 Tbsp baking soda
  • 1 ½ Tbsp baking powder

Instructions

  1. Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt in medium sized bowl.

  2. On low heat, in small pot, combine water and honey until honey is incorporated with water completely.

  3. Preheat the oven to 60 C / 140 F.

  4. Grease the pan and leave aside.

  5. Mix dry ingredients and water using dough hook. Knead on low speed, slowly adding beer. Mix until well combined.

  6. Lightly oil your hands and form a dough. Place it in the pan ( 10 inches in diameter and 3 inches high ) and bake for 10 minutes.

  7. While the bread is still in the oven, set the baking temperature to 190 C / 374 F and bake for another 35 minutes.

  8. Take the bread out form the oven, leave in the pan and cool completely.
