We had our share of missing some things during isolation and one of them was yeast. I must admit most of the things were available, even vegetables and fruits arrived from our local suppliers but yeast ! no way !
What about you ? Was everything available ? What did you miss the most ?
Honestly, I missed hairdresser the most, to my surprise ! We managed to get everything we needed, sooner or later, patience was the key to it all, and now, looking back, we did quite well and hope not to have another round of special measures, ever.
Obviously, the whole situation didn’t stop us from making breads from scratch, many different versions, but, here we are, one white beer sacrificed for noble purpose !:-)
This beer bread with honey loaf remains fresh for a whole week, kept at room temperature. Also, in spite of beer as main ingredient, a slice with butter and jam is absolutely tasty for breakfast and makes a great substitute for dinner rolls as well. I is tasty if served with soups, stews, goulash, shakshuka and so much more!
Both savoury and sweet versions covered !
