Tortellini al Forno Facile is an easy Italian recipe for cheese filled tortellini bake with extra mozzarella cheese and Italian sausage in parmesan cream sauce.
In a skillet, over medium heat, cook Italian sausage or bacon with oil until lightly brown and add tomato sause and garlic.
Add Parmesan and peperoncini.
Preheat the oven to 180 C / 356 F.
Add tortellini to sausage and parmesan mixture and gently combine.
Cut mozarella cheese to slices.
Spray 8 cups volume baking dish and pour half of cheese tortellini mixture into it.
Pour ½ cup of heavy cream and 1 cup mozzarella over tortellini.
Repeat the same with the remaining sauce/tortellini, heavy cream and mozzarella too. That way you get two layers.
When done, cover the baking dish with foil and bake covered for 30 minutes.
Take the foil away and bake for additional 10 minutes.
