Limoncello Tiramisu Recipe is beautiful boozy lemon twist on Italian traditional dessert with ladyfingers. This lemon curd version is perfect for warm summer days and nights! There is a kid friendly version included too!
Place eggs, sugar, zest and lemon juice into medium sized thick bottom pot.
Whisk the mixture constantly on medium heat. Boil for 4 minutes, until thick.
Remove from the heat and add butter. Combine until butter melts completely.
Once cooled, mix 2 cups of Mascarpone and 2 cups of curd to get smooth custard. Leave remaining curd aside.
Pour limoncello in a shallow dish.
Prepare platter as suggested above.
Dip lady fingers in limoncello and make one single layer. Make it quickly for each cookie; no longer than 2 seconds. Otherwise, they become soggy.
Spread 1/3 of custard and lay thin layer of lemon curd over the custard. Level out the layers.
Repeat the same until you have 3 layers of lady fingers and custard.
You may finish the layers with lemon curd, optionally.
Cover and refrigerate for at least for 2 hours before serving. Overnight is the best.
