
Feta and Mushrooms Stuffed Turkey Meatballs from Scratch is homemade meatballs from scratch recipe of Mediterranean origin. Feta cheese and mushrooms inside enhance the flavours of these turkey meatballs!
In shallow bowl, soak slices of toast into milk and leave aside. This is your binder.
In large bowl, using your hands, combine meat, salt, ground black pepper, onion, egg and binder.
Wet your hands with water to form meat balls easier.
Take 1 Tbsp meat and flatten between palms of your hands.
In the middle of it, put 1 tsp mushrooms and 2 cubes of Feta cheese.
Wrap the stuffing and form a meat ball. Leave aside on a plate.You should have 12 – 13 meatballs.
Pour oil in the frying pan and warm it.
Before you place the meatballs into the frying pan you may roll them in bread crumbs. It is optional but recommended.
Serve immediately with your favourite side dish or salad.
