Ingredients

  • 4 cups cauliflower florets ( 1 small head )
  • 1 1/3 cups all purpose flour
  • 11/3 cups water
  • Saltto taste
  • 2 cups bread crumbs
  • Ingredients for bang bang sauce:
  • 1/3 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 Tbsp hot chili sauce
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • Freshparsley leaves, sezame seeds to garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 C / 400 F and cover baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Combine water, flour and salt until smooth. I use a fork to mix it in medium sized bowl.

  3. Toss cauliflower florets into the batter ( tempura ) and dip each individual piece into bread crumbs. Make sure every piece is evenly coated.

  4. Place coated florets on the baking dish and bake for 20 minutes on one side. Flip the florets and bake for additional 10 minutes.

  5. While cauliflower is in the oven, combine sweet and hot chili sauce and soy sauce in a small bowl.

  6. Once florets are out of the oven, toss them and sauce together.

  7. Serve immediately.

Recipe Notes

If you plan ahead to have some cauliflower for the lunch next day, leave some aside ( and the sauce too ), pack for work and enjoy again tomorrow 😊
