  • Ingredients for the soup :
  • 1 Tbsp sunflower oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups chicken livers, chopped
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 1 parsley root, chopped
  • 1 little kohlrabi, no leaves
  • 1 cup medium sized celeriac, chopped
  • 1 cup peas, optional
  • Salt, black pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Parsley leaves, chopped
  • water
  • Ingredients for dumplings :
  • 1 egg
  • 5 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • I tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp oil


  1. In a soup pot, fry 1 Tbsp of oil, chopped onion and livers until livers turn slightly brown.
  2. Add salt, paprika and grounded black pepper to taste.
  3. Add chopped carrots, kohlrabi, parsley root, celeriac and peas and fry for several minutes, until vegetables soften. Cover with water needed to cover vegetables. Add more if you want thinner soup.
  4. To make dumplings, mix 1 egg, 5 Tbsp of flour, 1 tsp starch, 1 tsp oil, salt and grounded pepper to taste.
  5. When Eingemachtes starts to boil, start making dumplings with tea spoon and drop them in
