Greek Yogurt Pie Bars are easy dessert recipe with Greek yogurt and sour cream, garnished with edible flowers and low in sugar. Perfect healthy ingredients for the best pie bars!
Instructions for the dough:
On flat, clean working surface, knead a dough using all the ingredients. Let it rest aside while you butter 10 x 6 x 2 inches the baking dish and lay parchment paper into it.
Cut the dough to have two halves.
Flour the table and roll one half using rolling pin to fit the bottom of your baking dish.
Preheat oven to 374 F /190 C.
In medium sized bowl, whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
Add sugar and gently mix in the yogurt, sour cream, flour, and vanilla extract.
Pour the mixture on bottom layer of the dough.
Roll the second half of the dough and cover the yogurt filling.
Use a fork to stab the top of yogurt pie gently, then put it into the oven.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Turn the oven off and leave the cake in there for 10 more minutes so the filling gets firm.
Cool completely, dust with powdered sugar, garnish with edible flowers and cut the bars.
