Mediterranean Herbs Pinwheel Rolls : rich with Mediterranean flavours and quickly done.

  • 1 store bought pizza dough ( 10 x 16 inches )
  • 1 Tbsp Mediterranean herbs mix ( basil, rosemary, oregano, summer savory, thyme, sage and parsley )
  • 4 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 egg for egg wash


  1. Combine herbs, olive oil, salt and garlic in small bowl.

  2. Roll out pizza dough on clean flat surface.

  3. Using table spoon, spread the herbs mix over the pastry.

  4. Roll up jelly roll style, starting with a long side.

  5. Pinch seam to seal and cut into 21 rolls.

  6. Place rolls cut side up in 10 x 6 inches baking pan.

  7. Preheat the oven to 180 C / 356 F.

  8. Leave the rolls rise for approx 10 minutes.

  9. Crack an egg into a small bowl and beat it thoroughly with a fork.

  10. Brush the rolls with egg wash and bake for 20 minutes.

  11. Serve warm or cold.
