Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cup minced turkey meat
  • salt, ground black pepper to taste
  • 3 Tbsp onion finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 2 slices toast ( crust removed )
  • 4 Tbsp + 1 tsp milk
  • 2 Tbsp oil
  • 1 cup button mushrooms, sliced, chopped, fried
  • 1 cup Feta cheese, cubed, loosely packed
  • Bread crumbs, optional

Instructions

  1. In shallow bowl, soak slices of toast into milk and leave aside.
  2. In medium sized bowl, using your hands, combine meat, salt, ground black pepper, onion, egg and soaked toast.
  3. Wet your hands with water to form meat balls easier.
  4. Take 1 Tbsp meat and flatten between palms of your hands.
  5. In the middle of it, put 1 tsp mushrooms and 2 cubes of Feta cheese.

  6. Wrap the stuffing and form a meat ball. Leave aside on a plate.You should have 12 – 13 meatballs.
  7. Pour oil in the frying pan and warm it.
  8. Before you place the meatballs into the frying pan you may roll them in bread crumbs.
  9. Cook until golden on all sides.
  10. Serve immediately.
