Ingredients

  • 5 Tbsp ground pecans
  • 1/2 cup caramel candies, chopped
  • 7 Tbsp butter ( 3/4 stick + 1 Tbsp )
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 whole egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 3 Tbsp milk
  • 1 egg white + 1 Tbsp milk for egg wash
  • 28 pecan halves

Instructions

  1. Put all the ingredients together and combine on the table until you get an even cookie dough. You may also combine all the ingredients in a medium sized bowl.

  2. Preheat the oven to 190 C / 375 F.

  3. Cover a sheet cake pan with parchment paper.

  4. Whisk egg white and milk in small bowl and leave aside.

  5. Take the little balls using cookie scoop, roll and press onto the parchment paper, using your hands to get 1 1/2 to 2 inches size cookies.

  6. Coat the cookies with the egg white mixture.

  7. Press the pecan halves on to the cookies.
  8. Bake for 12 – 13 minutes.
