How to make this poppy seed bread?
We started with 11 inches bread pan. It is important to cover it with parchment paper, spray it or cover with thin layer of butter and leave aside.
In medium sized bowl, combine dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder and poppy seeds. In another medium sized bow, mix eggs for two minutes at high speeed, and slowly add vanilla extract, milk, lemon zest, lemon juice, and poppy seeds. You slowly add dry ingredinets too and pour your smooth lemon batter into prepared loaf pan.

Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 1 ½ cup all purpose flour
- 1 ½ cup vegetable oil ( I used sunflower oil )
- 1 ½ cup milk
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 Tbsp baking powder
- 2 Tbsp vanilla extract
- Fresh lemon zest of 2 lemons
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp poppy seeds
- Ingredients for the glaze :
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 3 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 150 C / 300 F.

Cover 7 ½ cups, 11 x 3 ½ inches bread pan with baking paper and spray with non-stick cooking spray. Leave aside.

In medium sized bowl, combine dry ingredients, using spatula ( flour, sugar, baking powder,poppy seeds ). Leave aside.

Mix eggs at high speed for two minutes and add wet ingredients. Slowly add dry ingredients and lemon zest to get smooth texture.

Pour the batter into the pan and bake at 150 C / 300 F for 30 minutes.

Set the temperature to 170 C / 340 F and bake another 28 minutes. Check if baked with a toothpick inserted in the middle of the bread. If clean, take the bread out.

Leave to cool in the pan.

In a mug, whisk the powdered sugar and lemon juice.

Take the bread out of the pan, turn it upside down and place on a serving plate. Pour the glaze over the top, spread to fully cover, slice and enjoy.
