Toblerone from Scratch is elegant no bake holidays easy recipe made with honey, chocolate and almond slices. Just like the original chocolate bar!
Girls from work made another surprise again! I tasted a slice and asked for a recipe 😊 So, a day later there it was, perfect to add to my Christmas desserts list!
It is gluten free and no bake. Therefore it is amazing to share with everybody, GF or not. Besides, it tastes so much the same as those popular chocolate bars you can find all over the world.
The original recipe for this Toblerone chocolate recommends semi sweet chocolate chips. So does my colleague from work claims. She made a batch of it and I adopted her recipe by ading some milk chocolate instead of making it with semi sweet only. It is because of softer texture. Besides, it is so much easier to cut thin slices this way. If you prefer semi sweet chocolate, it is all right to do this no bake dessert using it but we like it the way I am presenting it here.
Below I have written the steps for melting chocolate in the microwave but what I usually do is melting it in the oven if it is turned on for any other purpose. Doing so, I check every minute to see when it is done. I learned this method from my grandmother. She used to place a bar of chocolate on the aluminium foil or parchment paper and melted it as an ingredient necessary to add to whatever dessert she was making.
Another important tip is to get triangle shape of this dessert: you need Triangular Mold Cake Pan, 14 to 15 inches long. It is easy to get it on line these days.
Do you believe chocolate and honey go together well?
Here is the answer: honey and beer are ideal for dark chocolate flavor pairings, as they balance bitter notes, making the confection sweeter with a hint of tartness. Take a look at pairing with other flavours here .
From our experience, you’ll find this one easy and fun to make and keep for any holidays since it is no bake cake and takes only 15 minutes of your time.
Slice and enjoy!
