Furthermore, I cut them into bars instead of squares so it’s so much easier to dip them into coffee or, as my son prefers, into cold milk. Forty-four hazelnut cookie bars satisfy sweet tooth of a crowd but in present circumstances it is necessary to say the bars remain fresh for a whole week and could be stored in freezer for three months.

These crisp hazelnut chocolate cookies are great to freeze if any leftovers after holidays. Just pack them in airtight container or plastic bag and keep in the freezer for up to 6 months. In general, all sorts of cookies with butter or lard freeze well. Here are some of them:

Rolo Turtle Cookies

If your cookies are too crunchy here is what to do!

What kind of chocolate is the best for chocolate chip cookies ?

The best to use is semi-sweet chocolate. It has 50 to 60 % of cacao and is still sweet not bitter. Chocolate chips shine through the cookie dough and retain the shape. They create pockets of chocolate to enjoy these hazelnut chocolate chip cookie bars!

How long do you bake cookies?

It needs eight to twelve minutes at 180 C / 356F. However these bars are baked in one piece and you cut them afterwards, so the baking time is longer. It takes eighteen minutes for this dessert to be done.

Can i replace all-purpose flour with coconut flour?

The rule of thumb is to substitute only 20 percent of coconut for wheat flour. Flour made from coconut becomes dense and soaks up a lot of moisture when it bakes. To compensate for the moisture imbalance, try adding 2 tablespoons extra liquid for every 2 tablespoons coconut flour you substitute for regular flour.
