Rolo Brownies

So loaded with chocolate and Rolos, these Rolo Brownies are just about to become a new dessert on your favourite desserts list !
Easy to prepare, fudgy, rich in flavours, just perfect for every chocolate fan.
The baking dish dimensions are 8 x 8 inches and you get 16 squares. You may cut brownies to have 9 larger ones. It is completely up to you.
Also, some ice cream or whipped cream aside will turn this one into utmost delicacy, American way !
Rolo Brownies
Rolo Brownies : chocolate and caramel loaded brownies !
Ingredients
- Ingredients for brownies:
- 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips ( 200 grams )
- 10 ½ Tbsp unsalted butter, room temperature
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 8 Tbsp all purpose flour
- 14 Rolo chocolates
- 1 Tbsp butter for the dish
- Ingredients for ganache:
- 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 20 Rolo chocolates to press once ganache is spread over the brownies
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 330 F. Cover 8 x 8 inches baking dish with baking paper and butter the paper. Leave aside.

Melt the chocolate.

In medium sized bowl, combine flour and baking powder.

In another bowl, mix butter, sugar and vanilla extract. Add chocolate, eggs and dry ingredients.

Pour half of the batter into a baking dish, place Rolos on it and cover with the remaining batter.

Bake for 35 minutes. once done, leave to cool completely.

For ganache, melt chocolate with heavy cream in small pot od medium heat.

Pour over cooled brownies and press Rolos on the top.

Cut and serve.
