If you happen to attend our reunions you would notice people from every continent, all colours, all sizes and every religion. We are blessed in so many ways and exchange all those little wisdoms people share and I believe our children profit the most.

Since I have written about my grandmother on several occasions, I would like to mention my aunt’s marriage to Tuareg man. Proud nomad.
I did not understand why they are called „blue people“ until he explained to me that they traditionally wear indigo-dye coloured clothes and it stains their skin. He is not blue, either outside, or inside.
Our African nomad settled in our family and made it colourful and happier, every way. Since he enjoys cooking, he is more than welcome in the kitchen during our family reunions.
As about this salad, he claims it has origins in Syria and as we consider both of the countries to be Mediterranean, here we have another Mediterranean delicacy !

Now, our reunions are something ! Not once, it happened that fairy tale for children, for example, started in the middle of afternoon as Little Red Riding Hood and finished many hours later as Vasilisa Premudraya ( the Frog Princess ) ! Don’t ask ! 🙂
It often results with earthquaking laughter and the kids enjoying the stories turned upside down as well, enjoying the „new approach“and laughing since they all know „how the story goes“.
