Colder days definitely ask for peanut butter and chocolate. Serious quantities!
Since I am reactive type of person in food matters, here we have our version: my recipe, peanut butter bars, no bake ones, easy to make.
How to make peanut butter chocolate bars?
First you make peanut butter mixture. It is simple mixture of creamy or crunchy peanut butter, unsalted butter, some powdered sugar, and cracker crumbs. Once done, you tap it into prepared baking pan.
Then, you start preparing second layer with chocolate chips, peanut butter, and unsalted butter.
Once smooth, you tap it on the first one and let the fridge do the rest of the work!
What can I use if I don’t have chocolate chips?
For this chocolate peanut butter bars, you need melted semi-sweet chocolate chips. If your recipe requires ganache or any other way of melted chocolate, simply use chocolate bar. Once measuring, have in mind ½ cup of chocolate chips makes 100 grams of chocolate. That way you can easily finish your dessert recipe.
If I make peanut butter cookies and need chocolate chips to incorporate, what can I use instead?
White chocolate chips are our favourite. You may also add cocoa nibs and butterscotch chips. To emphasize peanut butter flavour, add peanut butter chips!

Ingredients
- Ingredients for peanut butter layer:
- 4 Tbsp peanut butter
- 4 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 4 Tbsp powdered sugar
- 6 Tbsp cracker crumbs
- Ingredients for chocolate topping:
- 2 Tbsp peanut butter
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted
Instructions

Line 12 x 9 inches baking pan with parchment paper. Set aside.

In a bowl, mix all the ingredients for creamy peanut butter layer.

Spread into prepared baking pan. Tap with your fingers if necessary.

In a small bowl, in the microwave, melt the chocolate chips.

In another bowl, combine melted chocolate with peanut butter and melted butter.

Spread over peanut butter layer.

Put the baking pan into the fridge to firm completely. Cut 16 bars and serve.
